Think it Possible was founded by Anis Aneel Idress, a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs
and the Partners of Angle House Orthodontics. The aim of the project is to encourage social mobility
by harnessing the expertise, wisdom and time of professional firms and their staff
across all professions to help the young people develop:
This will help them achieve their career goals, making them better prepared
for their professional lives and organically breaking the glass ceiling.
On the 8th of July 2017 professionals from various Corporate institutions and Senior Academics alike will be volunteering their time to inspire, motivate and provide opportunities to 200 young people from in and around London.
This will be achieved through specialist workshops, lectures and Think it Possible’s Flag ship Lunch event where you will be able to Break Bread and engage over an informal conversation with an expert from profession of your choice.
Below is a list of few lectures which will be delivered at the event
"The social enterprise you created "Think it Possible" is a very unique initiative in my opinion as an academic researcher. From my extensive research in the field of CSR and Social Enterprise, an idea like yours has never actually been carried out in the medical or healthcare sector. You are pioneering the world's first ever inter-generational social mobility programme through your dental practise and its a huge achievement, I have not come across anything like it before."
"I've gained that there's no defined route into anyone's career so I should be open to whatever opportunities come my way and play to my best abilities.
It has had a positive impact as I feel able to accomplish whatever I set my mind to."
"Probably the best networking/careers advice event I have been to. I got the exact details I wanted for the job I want to do in the future. How to get involved, how to prepare myself and by just meeting people who are doing the job e.g Jonathan Birdman from ISD and Young Fabians I learnt that it's no impossible and there are a lot of opportunities available e.g work experience/internships to help develop the right skills to pursue such fields.
Yes, it has made things clearer and precise. Also this event has helped me decide exactly what I want to major in. For example I went to KPMG lecture and I'm glad I did because now I know that I will not be pursuing anything in banking, whereas politics I will definitely be working towards more.
I personally thought the event was brilliant. No complaints at all. Anis has done an amazing job, his passion and genuine interest to help young people succeed inspires me. His hard work and dedication to this job is truly commendable. I just wish this keep going as it has helped me allot and the people I spoke to. Hope he keeps doing these events and changing perspectives and lives of young people like me."

"Aged 15: I was able to mingle with students and other likeminded people who were much older than me however I was able to prove to myself that it is not impossible and that I am mature enough to engage with conversation with any type of person. I also enjoyed it which is something I do not do often, the socialising, the learning, having a laugh and building re pore. I have also been given a bath in positivity, without going into the details of my life. It was just really refreshing.
I want to let you know in the most basic way possible that you are a man with great ambitions and a true inspiration.
Hearing about your achievements and what has driven you. The opposition you faced and obstacles encountered has a value as such no price can be put on it. You predominantly and your event have lead me to realise that whatever I would like to achieve academic or not is possible. I decide my faith. I can make it happen!
I speak to great people, no matter who they are nobody has been such an inspirational figure as you had been in our mere encounter over less than a day.
Keep it up, look forward to hearing from you."
